I was born and raised in Southern California where I earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and a Minor in Cognitive Science in sunny San Diego at the University of California, San Diego. While there, I had the privilege to be involved with the nationally recognized UCSD Pre-Dental Society where my passion for dentistry and serving the underserved community began. My dental journey took me beyond California and to the beautiful mountains and landscape of Utah where I earned my DMD at Roseman University of Health Sciences College of Dental Medicine. I absolutely loved my time there and, like a sponge, did my best to absorb as much knowledge as possible. During my training, I discovered the unique role that Periodontists have to provide both conservative treatment and also treatments that can restore quality of life as well. I knew right away that this was the specialty for me. Prior to graduation from dental school, I was recognized with several awards including: Distinguished Leadership, Distinguished Lifelong Colleague, Distinguished Professionalism & Ethics, the American Academy of Periodontology Dental Student Award as well as the Student Leadership Award by the International College of Dentists.

The pursuit of Periodontics took me further east to the great Cheese State of Wisconsin, where I graduated successfully from Marquette University School of Dentistry with a Certificate and Master's degree in Periodontics. There, I received advanced training in managing Periodontal disease, Peri-implant disease, Dental Implant placement, Soft and Hard Tissue augmentation as well as IV conscious sedation. This was a wonderfully challenging experience that pushed me to grow not only as a clinician, but also as an individual. I had the honor of getting to know and treat patients with different needs and saw firsthand the impact periodontal treatment has on one's oral well-being, overall health and confidence.

Outside of dentistry, I am an avid runner and most recently ran in the Chicago marathon - with more races on the horizon. I enjoy spending my time outdoors, squeezing in hikes wherever possible and looking forward to exploring more of the Sierra Nevada mountain range. I also love to cook, experiment with new recipes and dabble in photography - especially when traveling to new places or exploring the great outdoors. One of my personal goals is to compete in a full-length Ironman in the near future.

I take great pride in my attention to detail, dedication to lifelong learning, and commitment to providing patient-centered care that helps each individual achieve their treatment goals. Thank you so much for taking the time to learn a bit about me - I look forward to partnering with you on your journey to better oral health.
