I recently had a gingival grafting procedure done by Dr. Peter Yanni, with grafts placed on both sides of my lower gums at the same time. I’m very happy with the results — the healing went well, and the health and appearance of my gums have significantly improved. That said, I think it’s important to be honest about the recovery process. The first few days after surgery were extremely painful, to the point that the Ibuprofen I was prescribed wasn’t strong enough. Also, I wasn’t able to eat or chew normally for over a month. I had to stick to a very soft diet for weeks and be extra careful not to disrupt the grafts. I’m coming up on two months now and still need to be careful with tortilla chips as they can poke the healing tissue. If you’re considering this procedure, I highly recommend Dr. Yanni for his skill, professionalism, and care. Just be prepared for a tough recovery period and make sure you’re ready to follow all post-op instructions closely.

Dr. Yi provided a thorough assessment of my situation, explained the Xray findings & discussed treatment options, which made me feel comfortable & most importantly confident in selecting her for my treatment. Roy Carlisle just had a great experience getting an implant at Perio Specialists! Dr. Ash Vasanthan was fantastic, along with his assistant Milania! Dr. Ash was friendly, explaining as he went along! He made the entire procedure painless! He answered all Roy’s questions and made everything run smoothly! Assistant Milania checked in with Roy to make sure he was doing ok. Everyone was very professional, including the front desk. It was a five star job!

Today was my first visit with Dr. Ash. My first impression was positive. Dental work makes a lot of us anxious.The office was very calming. The staff were very busy on the phone or helping other clients. Dr.Ash and Savinah ( probably misspelled- sorry) saw me today. They were very professional. They did a thorough questioning session along with photos and xrays plus a thorough dental exam. He also had questions of my overall health. They provided excellent care. I will get follow- up with my implants. If you need a Periodontist, please consider Dr. Ash and his staff. By the way, their new office is beautiful.

Just had a cone beam CT scan done at Perio Dental to assess my wisdom teeth, implants, and overall root health — and I’m absolutely blown away by both the technology and the service. The scan was quick, detailed, and gave a comprehensive view that standard X-rays simply can’t match. The team was incredibly professional, explained everything clearly, and made the whole process seamless. Highly recommend for anyone looking for thorough and modern dental diagnostics.
